See Guest Artist Patrick Primeau, a contestant from the art glass competition show Blown Away, during a live, narrated demonstration in the Amphitheater Hot Shop on September 1.
Influenced by the shapes and colors he sees while scuba diving, Patrick Primeau explores organic shapes in his work. His innovative designs inspired by Venetian techniques have earned him a place in the collection of Montreal Fine Arts Museum and the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec. His pieces are also found in several private collections. In 2004, he co-founded Welmo Glass Studio in Montreal with Caroline Ouellette. In 2019, Primeau was featured as a contestant on Blown Away, the first-ever TV competition series featuring the art of glassblowing.
