May 22, 2021 10:00 am–11:00 am

Families and kids of all ages are invited to join storyteller extraordinaire Vanessa LeDiva in a fun and sparkling reading of the book The Lady with the Ship on Her Head. Then follow along with educator Kathryn Aguilar and make your own wig using materials you have at home.

Learn about how and why elaborate wigs were worn by ladies and gentlemen in the 18th century and find out what you can see in the Museum’s newest exhibition In Sparkling Company: Glass and the Costs of Social Life in Britain During the 1700s.

This event is presented in partnership with Card Carrying Books & Gifts.
